About
Us
We are a Latinx-focused press that publishes books of impact by Latinx creatives. Our books are treasured tomes for readers of all ages.
We are an Indigenous Latina-owned business. Our publisher, Norma Fabian Newton, is a proud daughter of immigrants, first gen, and artivist. She is also a former attorney, New York Times published writer, and an avid reader. Norma lives in Los Angeles with her family and multiple plants.

We work with Latinx partners and allies across all sectors to change the entire publishing industry infrastructure.
One of our biggest jobs is collaborating with and supporting Latinx creatives so we can help their vision become a reality. We also consciously hire community members, pay competitive wages, and create a pipeline of diverse individuals that will help change the face of publishing.

According to a recent study*, Latinx in publishing comprise about 6% of the industry overall. This representation is even smaller at the executive (3%), editorial (2%) and sales (4%) levels.
